Advance Squad Leader Tutorial
Getting back into playing ASL after 35 years away from the game. The problem I am having is finding people interested in playing the game. ASL is basically a one on one game. It is to me a very exciting games. There are nail biting moments during play. As far as I can see the game is enjoy by the older generation. Most of the players are white heads like me. Cruising the web I found this great tutorial on how the game works. I'm placing the link to the PDF here ASLSK tutorial

I have returned
My wife and I had been on a ten days cruise in the Caribbean. Nice cruise but the sea where not claim. The last two we where in bad storm. The cruise had to change course out of the Atlantic to a better passage. 40 to 50 foot seas are not good for a cruise ship. Had fun but now looking at a knee replacement. So it is off to the doctors... Oh joy....

My Type 89 Japanese tank arrived in the mail
Hurray I got my first Japanese tank. It is very small. Plus all the tiny parts are going to be pain in the butt to assembly. Next step is to buy some Japanese infantry... Any suggestion who makes the nice 20mm miniature.

Painting sand stone wall
Tip from Doug Coffey
After casting 40 HO scale trestle footings it's time to paint.
I like the sandstone look so after spray painting a primer gray color, I went at them with several acrylic hues and an India ink/ alcohol wash.
Raw Sienna and Van Dyke brown. White for tinting.
