Das Boat U-9 Part 3

Old Doog pretty well wraps the model U-Boat  in this video.   It would be nice if company would make more WW1 era ships.  Be advised Doog has a vey salty mouth.

Baron's War by Footsore games.

Looks like I got sucked into another medieval set of rules.  Looks like rampant lion.  According to the video the game will be a simple skirmish game.

Watch the video and let me know what to think of the games.

Exploring the 3d printing of the Star Wars World.   I found this amazing print on thingiverse.  Plus I need to test run some new filament for another project.  This was a great 3d print to test out the limits on my ender 3 v2.

Travelling oversea for Americans just got harder

Only the second day in office we have more restrictive travels rules.  Everyone need to wear masks.  You cannot travel to another state without a mask.   This just Freakin madness.  I been wearing the God damn mask for close to a year.  It is a failure

Now forget about international travels.  Here is the CDC rules are of today.  No England or Viking cruise for me.  As you have to be tested three before returning to the US.   Hope the Biden supporters are happy.

Are you considering an international trip? If so, read on. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Dear traveler,
Are you considering an international trip? If so, read on. The CDC has issued a COVID-19 order that may impact your plans for re-entering the United States.
Effective January 26, 2021 travelers arriving in the U.S. must:
1) Get tested for COVID-19 no more than 3 days before departing to the United States and show a negative test result to the airline before boarding OR 2) show documentation of recent recovery from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding.
This new order applies to all air passengers — including U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents — aged 2 years and older. It also applies regardless of the length of time spent outside of the United States.
Acceptable documentation of recovery from COVID-19 includes both a positive viral test result within 3 months of travel (or the time period specified in current CDC guidance) AND a letter from a healthcare provider or public health official stating that the passenger is cleared to end isolation.
Passengers who have tested positive for COVID-19 will need to delay their travel until they meet the criteria to end isolation; learn more here.

Battle of the Bulge video series.

76 years ago the Battle of the Bulge was winding down.  December had been pure hell for the Allies. The German came close to pulling off the gambit to cut off the Allies armies.   Why I am I interested you say.  Because my father Paul Vikar was one of the survivors' of the battle of Bastogne.  All I know is that he was in a Heavy Artillery unit.  A little bit of what happened.  As my father and his buddies would talk about on memorial day weekends. For year we would get together with buddies from the Old neighborhood in Detroit at the his one friends farm.  It seem Labor and Memorial days comes to mind.  There would talk of fighting in Africa and Europe.  When the beer started to flow so did the stories.

This is my tribute to those men who fought to create the nation I grew up in during the 50 and 60's.  More stories later. Now the video.

Is the Manadorlain pistol a Bergmann No 1 in sheeps clothing

Everyone has gone crazy over the Djin Djarin wicked pistol.  The amazing it is a real pistol call Bergmann No 1/1894.

The Bergmann 1896 was a 19th-century semi-automatic pistol developed by German designer Louis Schmeisser and sold by Theodor Bergmann's company.[1] A contemporary of the Mauser C96 and Borchardt C-93 pistols, the Bergmann failed to achieve the same widespread success, although Bergmann himself later went on to design one of the earliest practical and successful sub-machine guns, the MP-18.

The first cartridges in Bergmann pistols were grooveless, with the bullets having a sharp nose to avoid jams. Later pistols, however, have mechanical extractors and cartridges with grooved flanges. The M96 had an internal box-magazine holding five cartridges. [2]

2020 comes to close with a whimper.

I have to say this year sucked.  January started off great. My wife and I had just finished a Caribbean cruise on Princess.  The only bad part it was during the Super Bowel weekend. Fort Lauderdale was a madhouse. Way too many people in the city. Everything was stretched to the max.  Talking to people on cruise bus.  Delta put on 7 additional flights out of the Kansas City a day just for the super bowl.   When we got back 12 days later the airport was a mad house.  It was standing room only.  The airport staff would only let you in if your flight was in an hour.  Later I believe this help spread the virus nation wide.   Living under a Communist Governor Withmer.   Who I call witchmer we got slammed to a lock down.  Which as of today is not over.  So many small Mom & Pop business have closed for good.  Our German club is about to go under. Because could not hold wedding, the weekly fish fry, the Christmas and the other club events.   This also goes for the Italian and Polish culture clubs.  The propaganda machine post all these number of Covid deaths and infected people.  They are just added the count by new math.   Having friends in the Police & Fire dept.  Plus friends are Doctors and  Nurse.  Who tell me in private the number are overblow.  But I group in the old generation who had to do story problems for math.  So everything I learned in 50yrs about diseases.  In college and in the military was tossed out.   That is my two cents. If you don't like it leave. Or worst bitch to me on this blog.

I did make a ton of 3d prints.  Sold a few in the progress.   Now I have a great collection of Oriental building for Samurai period skirmishing.  The darks age is coming along very nicely.  WW2 is now huge to 15mm and 20mm scale.  Trying to print 6mm-1/285 armor.  Currently waiting for Napoleonic kickstarter to finish so I start on that area.

Created a few kool things in 3d for Advanced Squad Leader,  Counter stack holder and storage boxes.  Did a Mandalorian Helmet, pistol and other items for my daughter.   Made some soap dishes for my wife and her friends for Christmas presents.

My failure are was building model kits and painting my miniature.  The wind was knocked out my sail. As the IPMS national in San Marcos Texas was closed.   Our August cruise around the UK was cancel. This  particular  once happens once a year.   WE had planned to see Hadrian's wall, Shetland, Liverpool and all the small ports.  Now I believe they scrapped the ship to safe money. All the cruise lines are hurting.  Who knows when we will be able to go to the UK again.  At 72 years of age I don't need this bullshit.   In December I lost 7 member of my Air guard.  No not to fuckin Covid.  Cancer and heart attack was the main cause.

Can't say I'm depressed because they police will be on my door step to take my weapons away.  Now that the socialist stole the election.   Don't count on the US military to help by the end of 2021 there will be no military... Thats my 2 cents.

Hope to keep this blog going.  Since I'm on the downside of my life cycle.  If there are no posts for 3 months.  As a reader you will it out.   Tomorrow starts a new year... Later.
