I was in country Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. Served in the Americal Division based out of Chu Lai. Chu Lai was a Marine Corp airfield built for close support. It was quite a busy place with A4 Sky Hawks, F4 Phantoms and late A6 Intruders. These provide close air support to the Marine and Army. If your unit called for air support they where in 10 to 20 minutes.. Here is an example of my home during that time. This belong to the Marines. But are same are mine. All the buildings had been built by the Navy Seabees,'
