First, my apologies if you are getting this twice. I believe that not all of you are subscribed to the new Closeaction@groups.io list, which I encourage you to join: it's a very-low-bandwidth group that will become more relevant in coming weeks and months as I offer new CA modules for sale for the first time since 2007!
Moving on, I am very happy to announce the first two of many CA products to come in the next weeks, months, and years, as I have gotten back into CA from some years diverted to other game design projects.
#1 is the Scenario Starter Pack, so called because it offers a really smooth and seamless way for you to play seven small CA scenarios. The key point is that the 35 ship logs for all seven scenarios are included, all of them PRE-FILLED, so you don't have to do anything but print the logs off and you're ready to go. The SSP consists of one PDF of 20 pages of how-to-play instructions and the scenario descriptions, and another PDF for the 36 pages of the ship logs (including a signal log). To hopefully whet your appetite, the first page of the Scenario Instructions is attached here.
#2 is the Master Shiplog Pack. This includes 30 ship logs, including all the most commonly encountered ship types in CA, for the British, French, American, and Spanish navies. In addition, 2 copies each of the CA version 3.0 chart sheets--namely the light blue gunnery sheet, the dark blue gunnery sheet, the yellow critical hits tables, and the red movement sheet, are included. Note that these sheets are very thick high-quality cardstock with lacquered finishs, so that they are mostly impervious to spills and kinks.
Both of these products are available NOW. Costs are as follows:
1. Scenario Starter Pack Module (PDF version): $29.00 (delivered via email, so no S&H)
2. Master Shiplog Pack (hardcopy only): $18.00+$4.00 S&H to US; ask for non-US costs.
To pay, you may use either paypal (remember to mark it as "friends & family"), or cash, or check, made out to "Mark A. Campbell".
My preference is for cash, and I'll note here that I've NEVER had a problem in 40 years; just wrap the cash in a couple of sheets of paper, and it'll come through just fine.
To pay via paypal, my paypal address is "mark.adm.campbell@gmail.com".
This is the start of what I hope will be a flood of CA version 3 products, including prominently the long-awaited v3 rules. Hope you're as excited by the prospect as I am!
== Cordially,
Mark Campbell
