From the pictures below I would say pretty darn tough. The round is a 17lb shot the didn't make it through the armor plate. I would bet the crew near that didn't survive.
There would be a lot of spalling from that round. I would not want to be in that Tiger with those pieces of metal ricocheting around inside the crew area

ReplyDeleteI don't think this is actual Tiger tank armour. Looks exactly like one of the armour/round testing examples at Bovington.
