Yom Kippour War

2020 comes to close with a whimper.

I have to say this year sucked.  January started off great. My wife and I had just finished a Caribbean cruise on Princess.  The only bad part it was during the Super Bowel weekend. Fort Lauderdale was a madhouse. Way too many people in the city. Everything was stretched to the max.  Talking to people on cruise bus.  Delta put on 7 additional flights out of the Kansas City a day just for the super bowl.   When we got back 12 days later the airport was a mad house.  It was standing room only.  The airport staff would only let you in if your flight was in an hour.  Later I believe this help spread the virus nation wide.   Living under a Communist Governor Withmer.   Who I call witchmer we got slammed to a lock down.  Which as of today is not over.  So many small Mom & Pop business have closed for good.  Our German club is about to go under. Because could not hold wedding, the weekly fish fry, the Christmas and the other club events.   This also goes for the Italian and Polish culture clubs.  The propaganda machine post all these number of Covid deaths and infected people.  They are just added the count by new math.   Having friends in the Police & Fire dept.  Plus friends are Doctors and  Nurse.  Who tell me in private the number are overblow.  But I group in the old generation who had to do story problems for math.  So everything I learned in 50yrs about diseases.  In college and in the military was tossed out.   That is my two cents. If you don't like it leave. Or worst bitch to me on this blog.

I did make a ton of 3d prints.  Sold a few in the progress.   Now I have a great collection of Oriental building for Samurai period skirmishing.  The darks age is coming along very nicely.  WW2 is now huge to 15mm and 20mm scale.  Trying to print 6mm-1/285 armor.  Currently waiting for Napoleonic kickstarter to finish so I start on that area.

Created a few kool things in 3d for Advanced Squad Leader,  Counter stack holder and storage boxes.  Did a Mandalorian Helmet, pistol and other items for my daughter.   Made some soap dishes for my wife and her friends for Christmas presents.

My failure are was building model kits and painting my miniature.  The wind was knocked out my sail. As the IPMS national in San Marcos Texas was closed.   Our August cruise around the UK was cancel. This  particular  once happens once a year.   WE had planned to see Hadrian's wall, Shetland, Liverpool and all the small ports.  Now I believe they scrapped the ship to safe money. All the cruise lines are hurting.  Who knows when we will be able to go to the UK again.  At 72 years of age I don't need this bullshit.   In December I lost 7 member of my Air guard.  No not to fuckin Covid.  Cancer and heart attack was the main cause.

Can't say I'm depressed because they police will be on my door step to take my weapons away.  Now that the socialist stole the election.   Don't count on the US military to help by the end of 2021 there will be no military... Thats my 2 cents.

Hope to keep this blog going.  Since I'm on the downside of my life cycle.  If there are no posts for 3 months.  As a reader you will it out.   Tomorrow starts a new year... Later.

Street with tram rail painted.

A while a gentlemen for Illinois commissioned me to 3d print a tram way.   I will the old post short.  He did a very nice job on painting the tram rail and street.  Link to earlier post :Printing the tramway street

Here is his explanation of process to paint the 3d prints.

On these terrain pieces, I primed these with a flat black primer. After, drying completely, I then used a red brown spray paint and painted these.

I used Army Painter, oily steel for the tracks.

Again, after drying completely, I then puta heavy coat of Army Painter Dark Shade on then. They have dried completely, now I’m just waiting for a day above 70 in the garage, so I can seal these with dull coat.

After sealing these, I plan on putting some brown weeds on some of these pieces.

Jeremy Bulloch the original Boba Fett was passed away

I remember going to the movies to see the original Star Wars.   To me Boba Fett was one badass guy. R.I.P. Jeremy thank you for all the joy you put in peoples lives.

Below is from the 501st Legion

It is with deep sadness we report the passing of Jeremy Bulloch.
Jeremy was a fan of the fans, and was one of the first actors to be inducted as an Honorary 501st Legion Member, a title he proudly wore.
In 2009 Jeremy became a full member of the club as BH-5211 as Boba Fett, the character he portrayed on screen.
Jeremy was a friend to all who met him and will be deeply missed.

Latest 3d prints

Busy printing Christmas gift for friends and family.   Need to print some item for myself.  These are from the Kickstarter by I Lovecraft. These prints are so detailed. But with fine detail it takes longer to print.

For your viewing pleasure.

Tryrant Governor destroys Michigan Holiday & small business

The witch of a governor has extended the ban on eating for another 12 day.   It will be a total of month that small business that have almost recovered have been place in hardship.   A small Donut Shop dinner could not survive this round of so called COVID.  Again the governor on her has decided with out real science input to continue the ban.   When to the Michigan Health Department there are to charts.  Real deaths and covid deaths.

The Donut shop was bought in 1984 from another that opened the back in the 1950.   Having no income or support from the state they could no longer stay.   She sites the hospital are full.  But when I talk to nurses and my doctor they tell me otherwise.   There should be mass burials and funerals.  But there are none.  One can't not grieve the lost of  friend or family member.   We are now all scared of shadow.  The past election was a farce.  As most of the judge that review any case was placed in office by Clinton or Obama.   Bush just put in judges that Democratic picked..

What next is coming re-education camps for the old people.   The great loss of life in the state has been the  75 years olds and above.   As the governor placed COVID infected people in the nursing home.

Saving Private Ryan city Remelle in 20mm scale

Possible next commision could be the town Of Remelle.   This is the french town at the end of  "Saving Private Ryan" last scene of the epic movie.   There are numerous houses, a bridge and roads.  Plan to do a test run of building in the next day or so.  The structures are complex with a lot of detail.  Plan to make one with supports. As supports are waste plastic to keep the building from losing detail during the print.  The run time is 35 hours plus per building The set was just release on 20 Nov 2020.   Here are photos and a layout of the Town.
