The men who would be Kings rule set.
I had pre-ordered these rules back in July. They arrived in the post just before I left for vacation. Basically I had a quick for at the rules. In some ways the play is similar to Blood Eagle and Daisho. These rules are what my current interest is in. Basically because I have the figures already purchased.
I think these rules can be pushed into the Pulp fiction era. So 1930 at the tops. A little of Indiana Jones type of game play. I your interested there is a Face Book page for the rule set.The Men who would be Kings

Daisho Samurai and more. Aly Morrison Citadel figures.
Digging through my lead pile I discover my Japanese Samurai. These poor figures have not seen the light day since about 1992. Wow 24 years they lay hidden away in my Oriental D & D box. Back then my children were in their teens. Now 40 & 36! We played Oriental D & D with a small group of friends. It was an exciting group and good times. But like most group the older player left for college. Only to be married, than move far away. Some of my figures are painted. Others are in white primer.... I could hear them, " Lets start a new adventure" they whispered. Warrior of Daisho are raising to battle again.
Here are the pictures. Surprisingly Foundry still make them... Here is look from Foundry's Catalog.
These are still great figures.....

Roman Road found in a shop basement in perfect condition
Amazing to see an original Roman road in excellent condition. Having always thought the road was very rough cut stones. The show the road like a paved brick road.

Another year rolls by. Daisho rule set mini review
Hard to believe I have lived for also 7 decades. Saturday marked another year of my life gone by. Hope to have more of miniatures painted before the next one.
Just got my copy of Daimyo Japanese skirmish rules. Blood eagle should be arriving soon as I ordered it from Britain a couple of weeks ago.
Daisho has a nice system for movement and battle. Each player rolls for inaitive the highest goes first. This player moved one of figures of choice. After the figure is moved the next high score moves a figure. And so on. Below is from the author.
Daisho – Skirmish Wargaming Rules in Mystical Japan.
Have you ever wanted to replicate the incredible feats of swordsmanship you see in movies like 47 Ronin and 13 Assassins? Stand surrounded by half a dozen angry Ashigaru and then, in a single fluid motion, strike them all down?
Bring forth fiery darts from heaven and hurl them at your enemies? Face demons from the pits of hell? Disarm and hammer an arrogant Samurai lord into the dust with your bare hands?
You can do this and much more if you play Daisho, skirmish wargaming in mythical Nippon.
This game allows players to field forces of five to fifteen miniatures in a game you can easily complete in an evening on a space only a yard square. The rules are short and simple to learn – few players need to refer to them after their second or third game.
This book provides:
• The core rules of play.
• The complete points system so you can create your own forces.
• Full listings for twelve unique forces.
• Armour, weapons and equipment, both mundane and magical.
• Listings of skills, heroic ki powers and magical powers.
• Fifteen scenarios, supported by seventeen scenario complications.
• Ten detailed landscapes for you to play across, and
• Simple, yet rewarding campaign rules.
Now I need to find where I put my figures... Damn ninja's are hiding in the shadows on my game room

The company name is Knights of dice. The line is call simply China Town. All I can say is WOW. The company is out of Australia
Looks like I need to sell some of my stuff. Also maybe I should of waited a couple months more before retiring.

Dom's decals to make 80's cold war decals for yankee team
The other day I wrote Dom to see if he was planning to make decal sets for the Yankee Team. Specifically Bundeswehr decals. The answer was yes these are in the works vehicle license, crosses and other related decals. Plus other countries are in the works. Dom just needs time to create the art work. Plus more research on the on what was used. Looks like we have some nice decals in the future...

For all the Bolts action folks. Anti-aircraft machine guns.
Okay we all know multiple machine for anti aircraft defense. Twin and triple mounts no be deal. But here are a couple of bad ass gun mounts. These would be great for stopping an infantry attack. Here is photograph proof that they did exist. And it will drive the other players nuts...lol
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Battlefront's M1 ready for inspection.
Okay I know I have failed to post pictures. Things like retiring from work got in the way for posting picture. The M1 by battlefront is a work of art. This company has hit a home run with their new plastic line on models.
My M1 is an early production model late 70's eary 80's. My cold war period I plan to game will be from the late 1950's t mid 1980's. To me this period might be a litte more exciting than the later period. One shot one kill can get boring to play. One side or the other may never fire shot. Why because they got wiped out in the open fire fight.
The color is dark green 34079 model master painting. The dirty is euro dirt from Vallejo. Now the pictures.

Yankee Team 15mm Marder 1
Late Saturday afternoon my order from the Warstore came in the Mail. It was the first part of Bundeswehr team. It was the Marder 1. The model is light years ahead of my QRF lead blob. Glad that I only bought one.
In my search this a Marder 1A1. The Marder 1 machine was separate from the cannon. The location was at the rear of the vehicle. Looks like this would be to convert. Have added lots of pictures are reference. Plus the sprue of Marder by Battle front.

Review of Battle fronts M1 Abrams Tank Platoon
First of all this tank is simply the best plastic tank so far the they have made. The Platoon came in the mail today. I couldn't wait to put my grubby hands on the model. Opening the box was this well detailed 15mm Abrams tank. The only problem was what parts make up the M1 or M1A. As it turns out you have to go to the Yankee team site to sort it out.
Thankfully there is a short video explaining what part you need to make a M1. In the near future I hope to have a finished model posted. But I'm trying to finish some models for the upcoming IPMS Nationals starting Aug 3rd. At the very bottom are some drawings of early Abrams in service 1980 time frame.. Hope this helps anyone building a early M1 Abrams

Japanese Type 11 light machine in action.
Interesting weapon the only downside is the way the weapon is feed into the weapon. There has to be a long time to reload the hopper with rifle clips. The rate of fire is pretty high also.
